About the practice

Your local GP Practice

Cuckfield Medical Practice is a split site practice with 3 partners and 3 salaried GPs looking after 9,500 patients. We have been a training practice for over 25 years and our staff are well used to supporting registrars. We offer a wide range of expertise in the practice. We are committed to excellent quality family medicine while being actively involved in new initiatives to improve patient care. We have an outstanding nursing team lead by our Nurse Practitioner, with an Advanced Practice Nurse, 2 practice Nurses and a Health Care Assistant and part time Phlebotomist. We encourage personal development within the team and some non-clinical members of staff have been trained to complete NHS Health checks, Phlebotomy and ECGs.

We offer in house Dermatology and Musculoskeletal (MSK) expertise, Minor Surgery and joint injections. We have 1 GP with a special interest in family planning who are running regular clinics for implants and coils.

We have 2 nurses trained in travel medicine who can offer pre-holiday consultations and arrange vaccinations.
Our Advance Practice Nurse has a special interest in Dementia and has memory assessment clinics as well as conducting some of our patients' annual reviews.

We have 2 purpose built premises at Cuckfield Medical Practice and The Vale Surgery, but these are run together as a single service with one computer system. At the The Vale Surgery there is an independent dental practice and a pharmacy for patients' convenience, while Sussex Partnership Trust run MSK clinics on the second floor and are a separate service. All clinical and non-clinical staff rotate to both sites, so you may be offered appointments at either site. All our minor surgery is carried out at The Vale Surgery only.

Our management team comprises of our Practice Manager, the Partners and our Nurse Practitioner supported by a Reception Manager and a Referrals Manager.
