Changes to appointment booking

Primary care as a whole is under huge pressure at the moment.  Nationally, over the last few months, general practice has provided 1 million more appointments per month compared with 2019.  The pandemic has hit GP practices hard as, even prior to the pandemic, they were already under vast pressure from chronic underfunding of primary care services.

We have embraced a number of initiatives to try and help with this increased demand and have broadened our staff base, on the background of a GP recruitment crisis.  These changes however were not enough and we are now changing how patients can access urgent appointments, as we cannot safely continue in the way we are currently operating.  These changes are starting on October 1st 2021 and more information can be found at the following link Read more

We encourage patients to use eConsult whenever they can, in order to receive rapid assistance for your concern.

Open eConsult

Please use the self-help advice on our website; a high number of queries to the Practice do not need a GP input and can be resolved with self-care.

There is also NHS111 who are open 24 hours a day, not just for when the Practice is closed.

Thank you for your patience and support at this very tricky time. For more information on how the practice is coping during this period, please click here
