Lisa Wiltshire

Healthcare Assistant.

I started my medical career working with horses at an equine veterinary clinic.

I moved onto people in 2006 when I became a phlebotomist with the Surrey and Sussex Healthcare Trust. I worked at Crawley, Horsham and East Surrey hospitals.  During this time I completed both my basic and advanced phlebotomy skills training; dealing with patients of varying ages and abilities. I also became a trainer myself teaching the in-house phlebotomists.

I came to Cuckfield Medical Practice in 2016 after deciding I needed a new challenge and a bit of variety in my working life.

Here I can be found doing many different procedures including ECG’s, blood tests, ear syringing, INR monitoring and health checks.

I also assist in the minor operations, family planning and micro suction clinics alongside our partners and GP’s. I have a particular interest in dressings and wound care.

Whilst here I have added to my training and in 2017 completed my Level 3 Clinical Healthcare Support BTEC Diploma.
